The summer has flown by and it’s about time for us to end
our Paws to Read Summer reading program at our libraries. But there’s one last thing to do! We’re going to celebrate with a program, the
Funky Possum Dance Party. Funky Possum
Dance Party is a high-energy, fun, and interactive show for children and
families featuring the stars of the EMMY Award winning “The Zinghoppers Show”,
as seen on over 100 PBS Kids member stations nationwide. The
program is geared toward families and kids 8 and under.
Funky Possum sings, dances, giggles and we’ll have you and
your family joining in the fun. Funky
Possum will also bring along with her pals the goofy breakdancing rapper
Coconuts the Kangaroo and friendly Sunny Fixalot on the turntable.
The concert features original songs from the TV series as
well as classic kid’s tunes and dance numbers.
Families will be singing, dancing and hopping along to this fun,
interactive show where kids in the audience become the stars of the show. So get ready for a funky time with Funky
Possum’s Dance Party as we celebrate another successful summer of reading at
your ECRL branch. The event is sponsored
by East Central Regional Library and made possible with funds from Minnesota’s
Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
